Why are so many NYPD officers Irish?

Americans please stop claiming that your ancestors have anything to do with you. They are not Irish they are American as is anyone born in the US. Its not only people in England who think that claiming you are Irish, Italian etc. Is wrong many Irish do as well. read more

There are many more Asian and Hispanic cops in recent years. Black cops have been around in fairly high numbers for years, but there numbers have been growing in the past few years.
