Nothing says that a cat and a bird cannot get along. In some cases, cats and birds can become great friends. A stray cat is just that, strayed from home. When I worked at a shelter we had to explain to people who came in that stray meant separated from owner. People would come in and find their lost pets and be upset by the label "stray" since it was their pet. Unfortunately lots of people keep intact pets, cats and dogs. read more
