Why are students required to say the pledge of allegiance?

It is not required - there are some families that do not allow their children to say the Pledge but most do. There are some few schools - not government schools but independent schools that do not have students say the Pledge. There has even been a court case - maybe more than 1 - about the Pledge. read more
