Besides obviously it being sooo Cold up there, why else are there so few people in N Canada. I mean, even in Quebec, there are absolutly no roads north of 55 deg latitude (Scotland is just as far north!!) all the way to the Hudson Straight and Ungava Bay. read more

Although its territory is huge, most of it is extremely cold and most of its population are concentrated along the southern border, i.e. near the northern states of US. So, if you you consider only the warmer part's of Canada's territory, its population density might not be too different form that of the northern US states. read more
