Why are the Chinese people called Han Chinese?

There were many terms today's Han Chinese used to refer to themselves in the past. Also, there were many terms foreigners used to refer to Chinese. But Han dynasty is just the history memory for Han people not all Chinese, so the remaining 55 ethnic groups are not called Han Chinese but like Manchu Chinese, Mongolia Chinese, Hui Chinese, Uigur Chinese or Tibetan Chinese and so on. read more
