All grass has is Solarbeam, and that takes 2 turns to work. There were so many reasons not to pick grass, and the typing problems still exist today. This is why people generally ignore grass types. There are good grass types but they aren’t usually starters. I have listed the best in sequence with 1 being the best and 7 being the worst. Venusaur- the original dual type starter before Rowlet stole its thunder, Venusaur’s unique typing gives it immunity from common grass and poison weaknesses like bug and ground. read more
