Why are there no bridges or tunnels across the Puget Sound?

It's interesting that there was much more focus put on Bainbridge and the areas west of Seattle. It's the opposite nowadays, with all of the communities exploding just east of Lake Washington. I'm glad they didn't muck up Discovery Park with a major thoroughfare, but that is a pretty natural point for an east west crossing. read more
