One of my professor is a consultant in a bullet train project in my city. There was this one class where one of the students asked, “sir but why aren't all trains designed to be streamlined?” He meant that the commuter line (metro) train is boxy shaped just as you see your bus. if its only .5% saving per bus in fuel, for every 200 buses thats like 1 bus is driving without paying for gas. There are a lot more than 200 buses. read more
