The only areas that really slaughter camels are highly Islamic. They have a dietary code with meats similar to the Jewish Kosher laws but their's is Halal. Blood with meat is forbidden to them so they have to drain as much as possible. Animals are kept conscious during slaughter as the increased heart rate pumps more blood out. read more
