Why aren't subway trains aerodynamic?

Best Answers

Speed and capacity are the main reasons. In terms of speed, a lot of it has to do with how frequently the train starts and stops, as well as the track conditions. In many cases, the stations are so closely spaced out that the subway has hardly reached maximum acceleration before it is already braking for the next stop. read more
