The Eskimo or Inuit were the last of the migrants from Siberia. They crossed the land bridge from Asia to Alaska a few thousand years ago and displaced indigenous tribes. They spread across northern Canada and reached Greenland. read more

There are groups in northern Russia and Finland that are related to the Inuit by genetics and language. The Sami of northern Scandinavia are not related based on genetics but have some linguistic similarities which may have come into their language from contact with the Inuit. read more

In Scandinavia we have the sami people, they remind a bit more of the inuit. They came over here via Finland and Russia through the north around the same time as the germanic people settled the south. read more
