Life in the 70s was also pretty affordable. A movie cost $2.50, a hamburger 75¢ and fries were just 39¢. If you wanted the latest hit record by Chicago or the Bee Gees, you could plunk down $6 and get a penny back. Cassette tapes (remember those) were a couple bucks more.
