NONE of the Senate Republicans voted to impeach Clinton. The HOUSE Republicans did. The SENATE votes on conviction. The Republicans who voted to acquit did so probably because they knew they didn’t have the required 67 votes to succeed, not even close. Many of them probably didn’t want Al Gore to take over as President, either. read more
