Further evidence of my point are the many instances of Harden playing great defense when his man has the ball. A cardinal rule of defense in basketball is to “see your man and see the ball.” Harden only sees the ball. If his man happens to have the ball, his defense is fine. If not, he’s in trouble. read more
Harden doesn't react until Lillard is already moving past the free-throw line, leaving him no time to get in position to adequately defend the easy bucket. To make matters worse, Harden taps Lillard on his way by and gets called for a foul. read more
