Why didn't Trump offer Ben Carson the job of surgeon General?

Carson stopped being a doctor and focused on public speaking/writing years ago. I honestly wonder if there were not reasons for his early retirement. He may have been gotten burned out. read more

Most of Trump’s appointments have had high level titles so he can claim they're “the best people” but he's already appointed 5 generals and none would want HUD, and he doesn't have many loyal allies left in Congress (most opposed him) who would want the job, so Carson, being black, loyal, popular with his base, and famous after running for president, was a good fit. read more
