Because they are so ubiquitous and (supposedly) respected, because they enjoy such a prominent amount of privilege, they can and do often feel the need to use that privilege to try and make a difference, whether it’s working with a charity to raise money, doing field work with that charity, or, yes, supporting a political candidate in some capacity. read more
