I don’t think I’ve ever met an American who especially dislikes goat. I’ve met some who’ve never tried it, but not that many. Most Americans don’t eat goat because it’s expensive, and they don’t like it any better than other meats. America has beef and chicken production down to science, and so beef and chicken are extremely affordable. read more

In some areas (South Florida, the Rio Grande Valley, ethnic Haitian communities throughout the US, etc.) goat meat is sold and there are restaurants where goat dishes are served daily.
