From what I’ve learned they aren’t actually dancing but are wanting to pee or mark an area. Tap dancing chinchillas are most likely females and they probably smell something that makes them want to pee on that spot. It could be a smell they like or don’t like, but it’s their way of saying they are going to pee soon. read more
