They bite because you might be handling them weird or for too long. They may also bite if you spooke them and in the wild they bite for hunting and defence. Their natural habitat is on the island New Caledonia, which is in the south pacific. They are nocturnal and hunt small bugs or anything that will fit in its mouth. read more
