Any type of bun with cold filling is usually called a "roll" e.g. salad roll, ham roll etc Any bun with hot filling is usually called a burger e.g. hamburger, chicken burger, fish burger, vege burger. read more

If the company produces chicken or fish sandwiches, they are often grouped on the display board with the burgers. It might just be a matter of simplicity, calling everything on a bun a sandwich instead of differentiating between the two. I honestly don't know, just postulating a theory.
