Why do Ford SUV names all start with 'E?

From what I've read on the internet and seen on the Ford Website there appears to be no explicit reason for the SUV's to start with an "E". However, doing so gives them a certain name brand recognition that could be helpful for selling the vehicles. read more

Besides the SUV's, all the Ford Cars start with an F (fiesta, focus, fusion) and this could just be a further way to distinguish between the classes. However, not all of the cars start with an F (Mustang obviously). read more

And yes, I had noticed that Ford's SUVs all start with E. I don't think it's part of their business practice, probably more of an inside joke for whoever comes up with the names and it just so happens that the names are pretty SUVish. read more
