CONCACAF has changed since the membership was allocated in 1961. Mexico was always a power. The USA, once only sometimes capable, and Canada have become much stronger. The Central American teams have matured into serious contenders. Suriname has long been an unusual case, because of the Dutch contribution to its football culture. read more
