Why do Mormons stay away from Non Mormon family members?

I can see an active Mormon wanting to avoid a non member family member who's actively involved with social drinking and other behaviours that they could see as being a bad role model for their kids, or that they themselves are just uncomfortable being around. read more

People who shun family members because of religion, probably do that for individual reasons. Having never known a Mormon who shunned anyone for leaving, I have no idea why a Mormon would shun someone for leaving the Church. Maybe they are just that angry, or do it as a manipulation tactic to get the person to come back to the church. read more
