People who shun family members because of religion, probably do that for individual reasons. Having never known a Mormon who shunned anyone for leaving, I have no idea why a Mormon would shun someone for leaving the Church. Maybe they are just that angry, or do it as a manipulation tactic to get the person to come back to the church. read more
