Why do most people do not like Porcupine Tree?

I feel bad for not liking them, really, Steven Wilson is a genius (he saved Orphaned Land from ostracism, but, for me, Mabool still is their masterpiece), I like depressing music, I'm a huge fan of Katatonia (I like its drums, to tell the truth), and Virgin Black, Morphia, etc… I like the music “Time flies” from Porcupine Tree. read more

Different people have different tastes of Music depends what kind of music a person likes. There are a number of great artists out there as good as Porcupine Tree, but in their way of expressing music. Likewise “Marshall Bruce Mathers” known as “Eminem” is an amazing Rapper but a lot of people don't like him. read more

Most people don't listen to progressive music. But amongst those who do, PT is held in high esteem. I found out about Porcupine Tree because Steve Howe was talking it up on one of the Yes fan sites and I've been hooked on them ever since.
