Personally, I think that the reason that most Olympic swimmers choose to wear reflective goggles (and the reason I wear them) is because they look better than clear goggles. Clear goggles do not look very good compared to reflective goggles. read more
Olympic swimmers use goggles to protect their eyes. The use of goggles by swimmers was not allowed in the Olympics until 1976. Presently, Olympic swimmers use goggles to be able to see under water while swimming at high speeds and to keep their eyes protected from chlorine and other chemicals present in pool waters. read more
