Most doctors agree that a healthy child can skip the occasional meal with no harm. Forcing a child to eat dinner when he or she isn't hungry encourages overeating. Sending a child to bed without dinner for say, swearing, isn't a reasonable punishment. A better method is to remove a privilege, like TV time. Dinner shouldn't be a privilege. read more
