Why do people hate One Direction?

Most people making jokes about the band haven't heard their music. I am of the firm opinion that one shouldn't criticise without actually giving it a chance. Herd-mentality is what shot the band to fame and herd-mentality is the cause of most of the ire that they receive. Personally, I could not appreciate the music they make. read more

We hate them because they don't have talent, or they judge because of looks and not the talent and the music, which is why they have their career in the first place. In fact, the thing that annoys me most about One Direction (and for that matter, Justin Bieber, Jonas Brothers, and the rest of them included) are the people that are so immature they have to force their opinions of irrational hatred for these artists onto everyone else. read more

They might hate him because he has things that they don't have and probably won't ever have. I wouldn't let people get you down just because they hate you. I don't really like you but, I don't hate you and plus I don't really know you. But, it doesn't give me or anybody else the right to say that they hate you. read more
