Until recently, with the exception of Annie Hall, my only Woody Allen experience was the later stuff - Vicky Christina Barcelona, Midnight in Paris, To Rome With Love, Blue Jasmine. I watched Sleeper on Netflix a few weeks back and couldn't believe how different it was - heavy on the physical comedy and pratfalls, ragtime music, it was like a vaudeville show. read more
