I have found — in my own experience — that small dogs tend to be more needy of attention, while big dogs more commonly can share love and affection without constantly begging for it. My large dog experience has been principally with German Shepherds, which may bias my findings. read more

Its a preference. Some people just do better with bigger dogs. Some want a more active dog to accompany them on outside activities. Others want small lap dogs with smaller exercise requirements. I have no preference. I LOVE my big dogs, but I also LOVE my little dog. read more
