Many plants don't mind tapwater and thrive with it as well, but a good shower of rain water once in a while is very helpful. Tap- and rainwater can be contaminated by various sources especially pollution by heavy industries, exhaust fumes , agriculture and many more.So it depends on how healthy your environment is where you are living. read more

If your plant is not special plant such as carnivorous plant, any water from the tap is okay. The fact is tap water may contain different things such as chlorine, and a lot of different minerals. My plant is drinking water with chlorine day to day, but they are thriving. read more
