Because they're moving your teeth. I just didn't wear them and ended up having to wear braces for 3 years instead of 2. I think the pain will probably fade after a while, based on what other people with braces have told me, but those things are just so annoying. :). read more

I read that it is possible to get weaker bands, but depending on the gaps on the side of your teeth, they will have to give you stronger ones in order to work more effectively. My elastics go on in the back, not the first hook in the back though. read more
