Phil was a child actor (film), the Artful Dodger in a professional production of Oliver and singing and drumming in an early boy band called Flaming Youth (really!) Phil Collins released really good early solo material. Don't Care Anymore, In The Air Tonight, both great. Later, there was over-saturation. Sussudio was not that great, and driven into the ground with constant airplay. I do not hate Phil Collins, but his later stuff was extremely mainstream and not that challenging or interesting. read more
