The Ivy League is an athletic league, but of course it is more than that as well. It's a very specific group of old, highly selective universities in the Northeast. Other schools don't become members of it by getting better, or more selective, or more prestigious. read more

At my school, it's the college where everyone wants to go. Stanford is idolized, and so is the Ivy League. Everyone thinks that Stanford is an amazing school, but they also think that the schools in the Ivy League are amazing, but each has a different atmosphere -- Stanford doesn't feel like an Ivy League school, but not in a bad way. read more
