Why do some landscapers suggest not planting Pin Oak trees?

I suppose it would depend on the landscape the landscaper was trying to create and the growing conditions locally. For example the pin oak grows in semi wetland conditions and would not do well in a very dry soil or on chalk. Other than that it may just be personal preference. different people have different favourite tree forms. read more
