Why do some people hate Forrest Gump?

Maybe because the story is about Forest Gump gaining successes from listening to people without his own initiative. However, he once saved that Lieutenant fellow eventhough he asked him not to. That shows that Forest could think by himself. Forest Gump is a wonderful movie and is my favourite Tom Hanks movie. read more

I dislike Forrest Gump for a few reasons. 1) It's boring. I enjoy movies a lot slower and with a lot less dialogue with than Forrest Gump, so it has nothing to do with the pacing or language. The film itself just never hooks me or entertains me. read more
