Why do some people hate the concept of diversity?

This is the same old cultural imperialism we have known and loved since we’ve been recording our history. Let’s all be diverse in exactly the same way. Some people are not comfortable with anything new. People get set in their ways and often wont try anything new. Some people are just outright intolerant, and cannot stand anything other than their own way. The only kind I dont like is when it is forced, and done in an obvious way. But diversity disrupts all of this awesome, homogenous bonding. Cross-cultural encounters involve a lot of guesswork, ambiguity and unpredictability.
