Being a City carrier Assistant I’m not a Regular carrier so I wont be able to get funds from Usps until after my 90 days probation.Then they will give me a voucher for a uniform.Some Carriers may get uniforms from regulars at different locations if they have them available.For the most part its uncomfortable for me to work without a uniform. read more
Some of these positions get a uniform allowance after a certain amount of time on the job; others do not. Of course, some positions have no contact with the general public, such as the postal support personnel that process mail in plants, making a uniform less necessary perhaps. read more
