Why do superheroes usually stay unmarried?

Despite exceptions, like Reed and Sue Richards, most super-heroes are unmarried. I can only speculate about why this is true, so I will. First, the audience for comic books skews young. Although adults constitute the majority of comic book readers these days, those adults are most often college age. A great many college students are not married, so young & unmarried superheroes could be easy for this audience to identify with. read more
