Actually, we have so much traffic because we do not have the infrastructure (roads) to support the amount of traffic. The Atlanta area has seen a steady increase in population over the last 30 years and our roads have not kept up with the need. In addition, our transit system (MARTA) is only available in a limited area. read more

We know all the reasons why Atlanta’s traffic supposedly sucks: there just aren’t enough ways to move so many people through a metropolitan area that’s way too spread out, Atlanta is way behind when it comes fixing/upgrading its roads/highways, and the public transportation system is good for bar crawls and not much else. read more

Atlanta does have a major traffic problem. Reasons for this traffic congestion included the big growth in Atlanta's population. Since I have lived in Georgia since 2004, cities throughout the Atlanta area has seen substantial growth. read more
