HK has a lot of pre-university schools (around 1100), staffed by able teachers, and following rather complete curricula. HK schools with 'international' in their names are for expats' children. Most are good. read more
Hong Kong schools and the public in general have such high standard on languages. Ever since we were kids, we must learn both Chinese (our supposedly native tongue), and English (foreign) for reasons that we were a British colony, and English was our only official language at the time, which was the case before the handover in 1997, of course. read more
