Why does Liechtenstein exist?

This goes so far that it’s no problem when the Swiss army invades it accidentally (happened twice), Switzerland has a contract to protect Liechtenstein and Liechtenstein also has to protect Switzerland. Lesotho and Portugal are at least states that exist for ethnic groups to have a homeland (similar to the Kurds or Catalans that want one). Lesotho is for the Sotho ethnicity and Portugal is for the Portuguese ethnicity. Liechtenstein just exists for the sake of existing in contrast. read more
