the question belongs to the second category, it already has a number of answers, but you don't realize it's a question of the second category type, or that Quora allows for more than one answer. Either way, the most important aspect to note is that for Quora (meaning the algorithm that sends you suggestions for questions to answer) it is very hard (or impossible) to distinguish between the two types of questions. read more

Quora favours answers with momentum: answers that are upvoted by a high % of whoever sees them. These can quickly bubble to the top of a question, leapfrogging answers with more votes. So what you really want is killer answers. read more
