Goblet cells secrete a huge amount of mucus in response to even trivial stimulus. So their secretory system must be well developed. Being a chief component of the secretory system, Golgi apparatus has to be well developed in goblet cells, in fact a large proportion of the cell volume is occupied by Golgi bodies in goblet cells.
