Why does the MotoGp champion Rossi use the number 46?

I read it in Rossi's Autobiography that he picked the number 46 watching Norick Abe race with that number in one of the Japanese Races. It was only co-incidental that his Dad had used the same number in few of his races. read more

cause Grizano Rossi (vale's father)had the same number when he first won in motogp 250cc classthe same year Valentino Rossi was born .He has been using this number from the beginning of his racing career so everybody recognize rossi from number 46 thats why he uses the number 46 ..it is just his number. read more
