Why does the Philippines celebrate Christmas too early?

It doesn't celebrate Christmas too early - it celebrates Christmas on 25th December. There might be some celebrations and office parties leading up to it. Why is Christmas so visible in the malls and retail outlets. Christmas in the Philippines . People in the Philippines like to celebrate Christmas for as long as possible! The playing of Christmas carols in shops can start in September! The formal Christmas celebrations start on 16th December when many people go the the first of nine pre-dawn or early morning masses. The last mass is on Christmas day. read more

Another I know of is that we Filipinos LOVE Christmas. In tagalog, we call Christmas "Pasko". A LOT of Filipinos can consider themselves obsessed with Christmas. We even have a mass in the early morning during Christmas Eve. :] We call it the "Simbang Gabi". read more
