Why does the Uzumaki Clan have red hair?

Because of this if Minato did not have this gene at all then its impossible for Naruto to have had red hair. Since Naruto has the recessive gene but Hinata obviously did not give the heritage of the hyuuga clan then their children wouldn't have had red hair because of this. read more

I was terrible at biology, but I think genetically this would make sense in regards to Naruto not having the trademark red Uzumaki hair. If the dad has blonde hair and the mom has red hair (both recessive genes IIRC) then the baby would have a 25% chance of being ginger, and a 25% chance of being blonde. read more
