If they are normal and clean then they don’t cause ear infection but if your earphones are air-tight then they could cause bacterial infections. As per David Greene MD advice, don’t use to much earphones and don’t listen too high volume as it can make the fluid build up in your ear and if you experience any pains or infections, avoid earphones for few days. read more
