Why doesn't Deer Valley ski resort allow snowboarders?

Deer Valley is known for being an upscale, posh resort. It's the kind of place where when you get out of your car, they help you carry your skis over to the lift. There are three resorts left in the US that don't allow snowboarders: Alta, Deer Valley, and Mad River Glen. As an avid snowboarder, I love Snowbird, which is adjacent to Alta. Alta has fantastic terrain and I wish I could snowboard there. Alta is very invested though in being Skiers Only. read more
