I think that Germany does not have nuclear weapons for 4 major reasons: It technically already has nuclear weapons (through a special program with the US). Even if it did not, it does not need them. There are nuclear weapons on German soil but they are owned by the US. In case of war there’s an agreement called “nuclear participation/sharing”. Germany owns the systems to use them but not the bombs itself. read more
