The Rogers Center (Toronto), Chase Field (Arizona), Safeco (Seattle), Miller Park (Milwaukee), Minute Maid Park (Houston), and Marlins Park (Miami) all have retractable roofs. In locations where weather can be an issue, closing the roof on a rainy, cold, or extremely hot day can significantly improve the game day experience for the fans. I don't think teams should have to add a retractable roof to existing stadiums. However, I do believe that MLB should mandate that all new stadiums being built from this point forward have retractable roofs. It would enhance the fan experience and certainly help to increase ticket sales. read more
